EMF Concerns On the Rise
EMF concerns are on the rise. But why? Technology is amazing. It really is. Remember when we used to watch the Jetsons as kids and marvel at their world? Some of our moms probably thought, yeah, right, a vacuuming robot! Enter Roomba. Or what about those video calls we were grateful weren’t reality? We’d actually have to look presentable! Which platform do you use now? FaceTime, Skype, Messenger, Zoom…let’s be serious, just agreeing on one platform to connect on is more the challenge than having access to the technology. Oh, but everyone’s favorite, “Oh Alexa…!” that one is an amazing DJ, personal shopper, weatherman, light switch flipper, thermostat setter, teacher, entertainer…and we thought Rosie was amazing!
This is just a start to the list of conveniences we have today. What about microwaves, heating blankets, tons of television channels and movie streaming platforms-and let’s not forget the multitude of screens we can use to access them! Don’t forget about that amazing password we are always asking for: Wi-fi.
Rise of Technology and EMF Concerns
With the rise of all this technology and the systems it takes to run them, there has also been a rise in EMF exposure. Electromagnetic fields have been around since the beginning of time. They naturally come from the earth and the sun. Seem like no big deal, right? Well, once again we’ve taken something natural and made it a big deal. These EMFs (commonly known as radiation) are actually fields of energy given off by any electronic device and affect anything else with an electronic charge in the area around them. I know what you are thinking, no big deal, I’m a person! Correct. However, you do have electrical charges in your body; in fact, how do you think your brain sends messages to your nerves, or your heart pumps blood? Those are kind of a big deal.
Like so many other health situations, the symptoms of a toxic EMF load can get a bit confusing and overwhelming.
EMF Concerns and Symptoms:
- headaches
- dizziness or vertigo
- nausea
- joint and muscle pain
- fatigue and insomnia
- tinnitus
- mood swings, anxiety and depression
- suppressed immune system
- heart palpitations
The list goes on and on. In fact, even the World Health Organization (WHO)’s International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified radio frequency electromagnetic fields as possibly carcinogenic to humans. (1)
What Can You Do About EMF Concerns?
So, what do we do about these pesky EMFs?
Well, we can actually do quite a bit. Yes, without having to give up all of our modern conveniences and moving to the mountains. There are several products on the market created to encase your cell phone, laptop, and even your wi-fi router. They are basically cases with a lining of conductive or magnetic materials. This would work for pretty much any appliance too.
Himalayan salt lamps (the real ones, not imitations) are great at grabbing those positive charges EMFs are giving off and converting them into negative charges. This purifies the air of airborne toxins as well as EMFs.
There are also several products available to wear on your body to help absorb the EMF you come in contact with. Q-link is a favorite of many of Pathway To Wellness family. The shungite stone from the Shungite region of Russia is 90-100% carbon. Think about how charcoal works in the body-it attracts and absorbs those positive charges so they can be eliminated and leave the body unharmed. This stone has been made in to jewelry to absorb and neutralize EMFs close to the body. Shungite has been used to purify water and air as well. Some companies also sell larger cuts of stone to place near electronics or that wi-fi router. Do your research and look for quality shungite , it’s a very inexpensive way to protect yourself and your home-if you get the right quality.
Yes, EMF concerns are on the rise but so is the knowledge to counteract them.
